Fusion of Art and Science for the Conservation of the Gambilusa
The gambilusa has found a place in my life, both ethically and professionally, as it perfectly embodies one of the problems we face that affects all of us: the biodiversity crisis.
For me, in Bárbara I have found a way to communicate this issue through forms of expression that go beyond language. Art must work in tandem with social movements and ideas, and it is both necessary and rewarding to find people with whom dialogue is possible through languages beyond words—languages that embody shared ideals and motivations.
It is essential that we all contribute our “little grain” so that we can make our surroundings a better world and thanks to Bárbara’s work and dedication, the gambilusa is now immortalized on a canvas—something for which I will always be grateful.
